Remembering Mothers at Cam Valley Crematorium
Cam Valley Crematorium will be remembering mothers next month as local families are invited to pay tribute to their maternal loved ones.
In the week leading up to, and week after, Mother’s Day (Sunday 19 March), local people are invited to visit and write personal messages to their lost loved ones on slates which will be pinned to posts at the crematorium.
The site will be open on Mother’s Day itself (19 March) between 10am and 2pm to enable people to visit and have a quiet moment of contemplation.
The crematorium’s own gardening team will be planting daffodils in the Mother’s Day garden and visitors will be welcome to join in.
Cam Valley Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, the UK’s largest owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
Sam Cunningham, Site Manager at Cam Valley Crematorium, said: “Mother’s Day can be a particularly poignant time for those who have lost their mum or mother-figure, or for mothers who have been bereaved of a child.
“We are inviting local families to visit us during this period to have a moment of reflection and contemplation within our beautiful grounds.
“We hope that visiting us will bring comfort to anyone who needs it during this special time of the year.”
